MARIA JOAO FRANCO UILI LOUSI RENATA KOPAC CONSUEGRA ROMERO KAREL STOOP
DEBUT is an exhibition of 5 selected artists and has been inaugurated Friday 4 March - until 10 March.
In this exhibition we notice above all the sensation of space. The works have been displayed with
a maximum attention and using a generous white painted space around all displayed works, the way that the
importance and the characteristics of the works were accentuated in an unapprovable way.
The large abstract works of Maria Joao Franco (Portugal) insinuating human figures. The small geometric work
of Uili Lousi ( Tonga) that converts mathematical forms in nearly living object just by playing with the
white nuances in the spaces in between.
The blue ballpoint drawings by Consuegra Romero (Spain) realized in a exellent way and with a presentation of white
frames that really elevates the ballpoint drawings far away of its origins as writing tool.
Renata Kopac (Lithuania) uses the paint with volume creating recognizable shapes of human faces that appear out of
a certain abstract way of working. Her brush strokes are direct, colourfull and expressive.
Karel Stoop (The Netherlands) presents here a small work less habitual in his known way of working. This work is gives
no priority to the painterly work, but accentuates the skin that got a particular texture by making use of the drying effects of industrial line oil and pigments.
